Siddharth turns filmmaker with Mithram

Siddharth, the actor and son of the late filmmaker Bharathan will now be seen as an independent director with the upcoming Malayalam movie Mithram. While Kalabhavan Mani and Asif Ali of Rithu fame will be essaying the heroes" roles, Shruthy Menon will make her debut as the heroine through this movie. Siddharth had made his debut in the acting field through the Malayalam movie Nammal and of late has been assisting celebrated filmmaker Priyadarshan in his movies as an assistant director.

Innocent, Bijukuttan, Salimkumar, Augustine, Sreejithravi, Lena, Arunghosh, K P A C Lalitha and Laya are the others who are there in the cast. Mithram based on the story by the debutant filmmaker Siddharth will be scripted by Santhosh Echikkanam. This movie to be presented by David Kachapaally under the banner of Y format cinemas will start shooting by the second week of October.
