Sukumari hospitalized following a heart attack

Reputed actress Sukumari was rushed to the NIMS hospital, Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala on thursday morning following a heart attack. The actress underwent a heart surgery and is currently in a stable situation. As per the hospital authorities, the veteran actress is recuperating slowly.

Sukumari who has acted in about 2000 movies has been in the film industry for more than 60 years and has acted in both Malayalam and Tamil. Ironic as it may seem, Sukumari had lately inaugurated a function which was organized to felicitate the very same hospital for carrying out free heart surgeries for those who cannot afford that. Sukumari was visited by her relatives and also her close friends from the industry.
