Suraj Venjaramoodu overtakes Mammootty and Sureshgopi

Suraj Venjaramoodu made his entry into the Malayalam film industry as a comedian by virtue of his diction and style of dialogue delivery. Now with Duplicate he has gone a step ahead to try his luck as hero and that step has proven to be lucky for him. Duplicate which had to compete with Mammootty"s Loudspeaker and Sureshgopi"s Vairam is slowly consolidating its hold at the box office.

Duplicate with its masala formula is in no way comparable to the Loudspeaker and Vairam, but the movie has managed to draw the crowds to the theatres. Duplicate by debutante director Shibu Prabhakar has given Suraj a new honour as hero.

Suraj is however the least perturbed by this success and in spite of the numerous offers pouring in; the actor is politely refusing those offers. Suraj is cautious enough to realize that it is better to go along the path that best suits him. So too he does not have time either, when his hands are full with projects that he had committed to as supporting actor.
