Yugapurushan to unfold history

It is time to relive history with the Malayalam movie Yugapurushan by R Sukumaran. The movie based on the life and preachings of Sree Narayana Guru unfolds the saga of social reformation which took place in Kerala under his guidance.

Thalaivasal Vijay, a tamil actor will essay the role of Sree Narayana Guru, Mammootty will appear as K C Kuttan, a revolutionary and supporter of Guru. Mohanlal is expected to appear on screen as Swamy Vivekananda, while Babu Antony will be seen as Ayyankali. Navya Nair is said to take on the role of Savithri Antharjanam, a Brahmin lady, who falls in love with a 'pulayan' Koran and marries him. Koran is played by Kalabhavan Mani.

Even as History unfolds in front of our eyes, the film maker claims that it will not have a documentary narration and will not be a biography either. However a plethora of historical characters like Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Kumaran Asan and Dr Palpu will make their presence. Others in the cast include Siddique, Babu Antony, Devan, Jagathy Sreekumar and Kalpana
