Girish
Puthenchery,
who
was
suffering
from
brain
hemorrhage,
has
breathed
his
last
at
the
Classified
Hospital
in
Kozhikode
on
Wednesday
night
(February
10,
2010).
He
was
48
and
was
survived
by
his
wife
Beena
and
two
young
sons.
Girish
Puthenchery
was
admitted
to
the
Classified
Hospital
after
he
suffered
a
stroke
last
Saturday.
He
was
twice
operated
upon,
but
his
condition
did
not
improve
and
he
died
at
the
hospital
tonight
subsequent
a
cerebral
blood
loss.
Gireesh
Puthenchery
was
popular
lyricist
in
the
Malayalam
film
industry.
He
had
written
lyrics
for
about
400
films
and
had
won
the
prestigious
Kerala
State
Award
for
the
best
lyricist
seven
times.
Harimuraliravum….,
Ethrayo
Janmam
Nine
Njaan
Thedunu
…,
Pinnayum
Pinnayum
Aaro
Kinavinte…,
Kalbham
Tharam
Bhagavane…,
Innale
Ente
Nenjile…
and
Moovanthi

some
of
his
popular
songs.
Besides
this,
he
was
also
a
script
writer.
He
had
penned
scripts
for
films
like
Vadakkumnathan,
Kinnaripuzhaoram,
Palavoor
Devanarayanan,
Meleparambil
Aanveedu
etc.
Now,
his
sudden
demise
has
created
a
vast
vied
in
Malayalam
film
industry.
