Actor Kunjikuttan Thampuran passes away

Veteran cinema-TV serial actor R.V. Kunjikuttan Thampuran (74) passed away at Ernakulam on Yesterday (August 24).

He had acted in about 50 films and some of his films are Ulladakkam, Mookkilla Rajyathu, Oridathu, God Father, Ivory Merchant and Kalyana Raman. He had acted in TV serials Samayam and Chitta and did important roles in Syama Prasad's Telefilm Kariyilakaattu pole', Innale Peytha Mazha' and Venalinte Ozhivu'.

He also wrote a book titled Aalukal Arangukal' in which he portrayed the life of Kathakali artistes. He is survived by his wife Sathi Varma (Manager of Kathkali Kendram), son R.V Vasudevan and daughter Suma Varma.
