Mammootty to launch his home production

South Indian superstar Mammootty has tasted success not only as an actor, but also as a producer and distributor of several films down south. This time around, he is all set to launch his home production tentatively titled Mathilukalkapuram.

In a statement to the media, Mammootty said that Mathilukalkapuram is not a sequel to his earlier hit Mathilukal. However, he said that there are uncanny resemblances between the protagonists of Mathilukal and Mathilukalkapuram. He added that the story of Mathilukalkapuram might be described as an annex to that of his 1989 National Award winning film.

He will be playing the lead role in the film but the female lead is yet to be confirmed. He said that he wants to rope in an actress who is fluent with Malayalam.
