Mammootty as a mahout in 'Ganapathy'

Ganapathy starring Mammootty was originally supposed to be directed by director Akku Akbar. Scriptwriter Reji Nair had taken the script of the film to Akku. But Akku refused to do the film as he didn"t like the film. The film"s direction was then taken up by VM Vinu.

Ganapathy will see Mammootty in a never-before-seen character. He will be playing a mahout. The lead actress of the film hasn"t yet been decided upon.
