Mamta to sing in 'Anwar'

Mamta Mohandas is already a known actress and is a singer as well. She made her singing debut with the Telugu movie Rakhee. It is Devi Sri Prasad who gave her the opportunity to explore her singing talent. A trained singer in classical music, Mamta has great passion for singing. She wanted to be singer but landed in acting.

But the thirst for singing still remained within her and now she has quite a number of songs to her credit. The latest song 'Daddy Mummy Veettil Illai....' is sung by Mamta both in Telugu and Tami and the song has turned out to be superhit in the chartbusters. Now, she is to sing for her mother tongue Malayalam. She will sing in the movie Anwar directed by Amal Neerad with Prithviraj and herself in the lead. She has already sung for 13 Telugu and 3 Tamil films, and also had recently sung for a Malayalam album produced by East Coast videos.
