Neelathamara"s
success
seems
to
have
enticed
Mohanlal
into
remaking
his
old
film,
Rajavaninte
Makan.
The
movie
which
made
Mohanlal
a
household
name
will
be
remade
into
Malayalam.
Antony
Perumbavoor,
the
actor"s
close
associate,
has
brought
together
the
original
team
of
the
film,
director
Thampi
Kannanthanam
and
scriptwriter
Dennis
Joseph
for
discussion.
According
to
sources,
they
decided
on
remaking
the
film
rather
than
giving
it
a
sequel.
It
will
be
produced
by
Aashirwad
Cinema
and
will
have
Suresh
Gopi
playing
the
same
role
he
did
in
the
original.
Interestingly,
Suresh
Gopi
shot
to
fame
after
this
film.
The
movie
will
have
its
pooja
on
July
16,
the
release
date
of
the
original,
25
years
ago.
