Thiruvanathapuram International Film Festival begins

Noted director Budhadebdas Gupta will inaugurate the 15th Thiruvanathapuram International Film Festival at Kalabhavan Theatre on Friday 6.30 p.m. Hurt locker, which won six Oscar, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, will be the inaugural film. Kesari is the other venue. Chalachitra academy chairman K.R. Mohanan would preside over the function.

More than fifty films will be screened in the festival. Twenty two films will be showcased in world cinema category, nine films in Asian film category, six films in current masters category and retros of prominent directors will also be there. The festival will end on August 5.
