Malayalam actor Venu Nagavally passes away

Well known Malayalam actor and director Venu Nagavally, died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram this morning (September 9). He was 61 and is survived by his wife and son.

Venu, son of writer and broadcaster late Nagavally RS Kurup, had been having bad health for some time. However, his health worsened last week and he finally passed away today at a private hospital.

He had acted in over 200 films and directed 12 films. He was known for his roles in films like Ulkkadal, Yavanika and Salini Ente Koottukari. However, he turned director in the 1990's and belted out hits like Lal Salaam, Sukhamo Devi and Ai Auto.
