Amala Paul playing the heroine in Indian Rupee

Actress Amala Paul is now debuting as heroine in Malayalam films. The Tamil star will appear in the female lead alongside Prithviraj and Suresh Gopi in the movie Indian Rupee, which is being directed by Ranjith and produced by Shaji Natesan, Santosh Sivan, Prithviraj and Sukumaran.

Acclaimed director Ranjith has written the screenplay and story, which is based on the real estate business in Kerala. Prithviraj is playing the role of a young man, who has high aspirations about his life. Amala Paul is said to be reprising the role of his love interest. Suresh Gopi, Thilakan and Tiny Tom will appear in important roles in the movie, which will start shooting from July in Calicut.

Amala Paul came to lime light with her debut film Mynaa in Tamil. She had made her debut in Malayalam films. She had done a small role in Lal Jose's Neelathamara. She also did a guest appearance in the Malayalam film Ithu Nammude Katha. The actress is currently shooting with Vikram for the film Deiva Thirumagal.
