Income
tax
officials
have
conducted
raids
on
the
offices
and
residences
of
Malayalam
Superstars
Mammootty
and
Mohanlal
on
Friday.
According
to
reports,
seven
teams
of
IT
sleuths
carried
out
raids
simultaneously
in
their
offices
and
residences
in
four
cities
like
Kochi,
Thiruvananthapuram,
Chennai
and
Bangalore.
Mohanlal
has
business
ventures
like
Maxlab
Cinemas
and
Entertainments,
Vismayas
Max.
He
owns
many
restaurants
in
Dubai,
Kochi
and
Bangalore.
He
is
said
to
be
a
partner
in
Mohanlal's
Tastebuds
in
marine
exports
company.
It
is
also
reported
that
he
had
tried
to
bid
for
the
Kochi
team
in
IPL.
Meanwhile,
actor
Mammootty
is
also
known
for
his
several
business
interests.
Besides
acting
and
producing
films,
the
Mollywood
star
owns
a
film
distribution
company
named
Playhouse
Entertainments.
He
is
also
the
chairman
of
Malayalam
TV
channel
Kairali
TV.
However,
the
income
tax
officials
seem
to
have
set
their
eyes
on
the
stars
of
South
Indian
film
industry
these
days.
Earlier,
they
have
raided
the
houses
of
Telugu
actors
Nagarjuna
and
Anushka
and
Kannada
stars
like
Sihi
Kahi
Chandru,
K
Manju
and
Ravishankar,
but
nothing
was
disclosed
about
alleged
assets.
Now,
it
should
be
seen
whether
the
same
thing
will
continue
in
the
case
of
Mohanlal
and
Mammootty
or
not.
