Kalavoor Ravikumar turning director with Father's Day

Noted screenplay-writer Kalavoor Ravikumar is all set to make his directorial debut and his first venture has been titled Father's Day. Ravikumar himself has penned the screenplay for the Malayalam film, which features Lal, Revathi, debutant Shaheen and Indu Thampi in the leads.

According to the reports, the muhurtham of the movie Father's Day will be performed on Wednesday at Ernakulam. The formal shooting of the film will begin at Kannur from 26 of this month. SG Raman will crank the camera, while MG Sreekumar and Sajeev Mangalath will score the music for it.

Kalavoor Ravikumar has penned screenplays for Sibi Malayil's Ishtam, P Sukumar's Swale and Ottayal Pattalam. Now, his debut directorial venture will be produced by Bharat Samuel under the banner of Bharat Creations. KPAC Lalitha, Sanker, Idavela Babu, Vijay Menon and others are in the supporting cast.
