Kamal Hassan's Raasaleela to be made again

It seems the trend of remaking the yesteryear movies, which have explicit contents, is catching up in the Malayalam film industry. After Silk Smitha's Inaye Thedi and Seema's Avalude Ravukal, now Kamal Hassan's Raasaleela is heading for a remake.

According to reports, director Majeed Maranchery is all set to remake the yesteryear superhit movie Raasaleela. The filmmaker has started working on the script to suit the new-age sensibilities and he has approached producer Benny Peters of B and M entertainments.

1975s Raasaleela, which was a remake of Tamil film Unarchigal, starred Kamal Hassan and Jayasudha in the lead roles. The movie, which was directed by N Sankaran Nair, was considered as a soft porn movie.
