Kavya Madhavan defends her political campaign for Ganesh

Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan has defended her recent political campaign for UDF candidate Ganesh Kumar in Kerala Assembly elections. Her defense comes after DYFI workers protested against her. She says that she campaigned for Ganesh because he is a member of AMMA and is also her close friend of hers.

On Sunday, the DYFI workers protested against Kavya Madhavan by showing black flags at Karunagapally. The group had also shouted slogans against Mallu stars like Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Jayaram, Salimkumar, Jagathy Sreekumar and Jagadish for their participation in the campaign for Kerala Congress B leader KB Ganesh Kumar in Pathanapuram constituency.

Kavya Madhavan has hit back at DYFI workers' remarks saying that she is apolitical. Kavya has a strong reason to campaign for Ganesh Kumar. She says that Ganesh is a close friend of hers. Moreover, he is a member of AMMA, which prompted her to campaign for him.

The Gadham actress adds that she is apolitical and she is not concerned about any political ideology. She maintains that she would have campaigned for Ganesh even if he was an LDF candidate. However, she is likely to hold a press conference at Kochi to defend her political campaign.
