KS Chitra's daughter drowns in Dubai

Tragedy struck popular singer KS Chitra, as her 8-year-old daughter Nandana drowned in a swimming pool this morning. It happened at a private villa in Emirates Hills, Dubai.

Reports say that the Nandana accidentally slipped into a pool and drowned. She was immediately taken to a hospital in Jebel Ali, where the doctors announced her death. Chitra along with her daughter arrived Dubai on Tuesday. The playback singer was supposed to perform at a concert in Sharjah this evening.

Chitra and her husband Vijayashankar were blessed with a baby girl after close to fifteen years of marriage. Nandana was born in 2002 and the couple considered her as God's gift, says a report.
