Mammootty shooting for The King and The Commissioner

Superstar Mammootty, who was on European tour, has already returned to India. The Malayalam actor is currently shooting for his much-hyped movie, which is tentatively titled The King and The Commissioner in Kochi. The film unit will also move to Delhi, Ernakulam, Kozhikkod and Thiruvanathapuram for its shooting.

The King and the Commissioner is bringing together two popular pairs like Mammootty-Suresh Gopi and Shaji Kailas-Renji Panicker. Mammootty is playing Joseph Alex IAS, while Suresh Gopi will reprise the role of Bharath Chandran IPS. Directed by Shaji Kailas, the movie has the story written by Renji Panicker.

The movie is said to be done as a sequel to the super hit fims The King and The Commissioner. Shaji Kailas and Renji Panicker have planned to include the lead characters of both the films in this single flick. Reema Sen is entering Malayalam films as the heroine of this movie. Samvrutha Sunil, Janardhanan, Jagathy Sreekumar and Vijayaraghavan are in the supporting cast.
