Mamta Mohandas set to invade Tamil film industry

Actress Mamta Mohandas, who recently bagged South Filmfare Award, is now set to invade Tamil film industry. According to sources, the Malayalam star will star opposite actor Arun Vijay in his upcoming Tamil movie Thadaiyara Thaakka. Sources claim that the film has two female leads and Mamta is said to be playing one of two.

It was reported earlier Bollywood actress Prachi Desai was roped in for the female lead, but she has recently opted out of the film Thadaiyara Thaakka stating some reason. Source claim that Arun Vijay is said to have selected Mamta Mohandas for the movie. Rakul Preet Singh will appear in the role of an other leading lady.

However, Mamta Mohandas debuted in the Tamil films through director Karu Pazhaniappan film Sivappathigaram in 2006. Later, the Mallu star has also acted in Tamil film Guru En Aalu in 2008. After a break, she is returning to Kollywood with the movie Thadaiyara Thaakka, which will be her third film in Tamil.
