Actress
Mamta
Mohandas
is
reportedly
set
to
replace
Nayantara
in
Mammootty's
next
movie
Mathilukalkkappuram,
which
will
start
rolling
in
the
first
week
of
March.
According
to
sources,
Mamta
will
be
playing
the
character
named
Narayani
in
the
film
in
Thanjavur.
Mathilukalkkappuram
is
being
produced
under
Mammootty's
production
banner
Playhouse.
Earlier,
the
names
of
Nayantara,
Asin
and
Vidya
Balan
were
doing
rounds
for
the
female
lead
in
the
film.
But
the
film
bosses
are
finally
said
to
have
roped
in
Mamta
Mohandas
as
the
heroine.
Mathilukalkkappuram,
which
has
the
story
and
direction
of

Prasad,
is
a
sequel
to

Mathilukal.
The
character

was
not
shown
on
screen
in
Mathilukal,
but
only
her
voice
was
heard.
Whereas
in
the
sequel,
Narayani,
played
by

will
be
shown
on
screen.
However,
the

has
already
acted
in

but
not
as
his

Mamta
had
essayed
the
