Mohanlal clarifies on filmmakers allegations

Nithya Menon had recently got herself in trouble when she asked a senior director in the Malayalam film industry to contact her secretary to fix an appointment. Now veteran actor Mohanlal is also being accused of doing the same.

According to sources, many directors are upset that they are unable to meet the actor directly. The filmmakers have to first approach Mohanlal's close associate Antony Perumbavoor to get through to him. Antony Perumbavoor has apparently been working with Mohanlal for over 23 years.

During Nithya Menon's case, Mollywood had insisted that the filmmakers should be able to approach the actors directly, and did not want to do anything with agents or secretaries of actors.

However, Mohanlal, speaking to reporters clarified saying, “The issue is, I can't do all the movies that are offered to me. We have our own production house and I do give priority to our projects. I am very much accessible to anyone who wants to get in touch."
