Only 30 people attend Prithviraj-Supriya's marriage

Amidst the speculations, Malayalam actor Prithviraj has tied the knot with his TV journalist Supriya Menon at a private function here. It was reported earlier that the actor had invited selected 50 people for his wedding ceremony. But only 30 people made it to this event, which was held at a resort near Palakkad on 25th April.

After the event, Prithivraj's mother Mallika Sukumaran, who has also acted in several Malayalam movies, spoke to the media and said that Prithvi's marriage was purely a personal affair. His family decided to make it a very private affair because it has many aged people and they wanted it to be a solemn function.

Meanwhile, Mallika has also told media that Prithviraj has planned to hold two different receptions to treat both his relatives and film fraternity. The first reception party will be held for family on Saturday. Another reception will be held for the film fraternity the next day.

Supriya Menon is born and brought up in Palakkad. She is a journalist and worked as a BBC TV correspondent in Mumbai. Prithviraj and Supriya have been childhood friends and they have known each other for a very long time. So Mallika said that there was nothing secret about their friendship.
