Rathinirvedam makes Rs 2 cr profit at Box Office

Malayalam movie Rathinirvedam, which is produced by Menaka Suresh Kumar, has made nearly Rs. 2 crores profit in its opening week. Shwetha Menon-starrer film has been made with a budget of Rs. 1.55 crores and it has collected Rs. 3.15 at the Box Office. The producer is now hoping that the film would do even better earning in its long run.

TK Rajeev Kumar-directed film Rathinirvedam was released in 70 screens in Kerala on June 16. The movie got an extraordinary opening and grossed Rs 1.15 crore. Before the release, it had earned Rs 1.50 crore from television rights, while its overseas, India domestic and DVD/CD rights fetched another Rs 50 lakhs.

Rathinirvedam has received average reviews from the film critics. But its provocative posters and trailers drove the movie buffs crazy towards the theatres. The movie had made a profit of Rs. 50 lakhs before its release and its run in cinema halls for a week has added Rs. 1.15 crore to it. The trade analysts opine that the film might bring better prospects to its bosses in future.
