Sarath Kumar's Metro: an edge-of-the-seat thriller

After debuting in Malayalam with multi-starrer Pazhassi Raja, Tamil star Sarath Kumar is turning a solo hero in the Malayalam movie Metro. Directed by Bipin Prabhakar, the film has got a clean 'U' certificate from the Thiruvananthapuram Regional Censors on Wednesday. It is set to release in nearly 80 theatre across the state today.

Vyasan Edavanakad has written the story for Metro, which is an edge-of-the-seat thriller set in Kochi. It deals with three parallel stories of a cop, a group of youngsters out on a fun trip and a gangster, who controls Kochi. Sarath Kumar plays an upright cop, who stands up for the common man. He neither has romantic interest, nor delivers punch dialogues like in his Tamil films.

Metro is a limited budget movie and it has been produced by Dileep's Graand Productions. Rima Kallinghal has played the female lead. Suresh Krishna, Nishant Sagar, Bhavana, Suraj, Nivin Poly, Bhagath, Jagathy and Shammy Thilakan are in other cast.
