Suresh Gopi to go on hunger strike

Actor Suresh Gopi has planned to go on a hunger strike against state and central government authorities, alleging that they have gobbled up the project of 50 crores cinema complex at the Tagore Theatre premises in Thiruvananthapuram. His announcement comes after the news that the project has been cancelled due to some unknown reasons.

On Friday, the Malayalam star held a press meet at his residence in Sasthamangalam, where he announced his decision to go on hunger strike. Suresh Gopi revealed that he will stage dharna and hunger strike on October 4 in front of Tagore Hall and he would fight for a sophisticated cinema complex.

Suresh Gopi said, “The Tagore Theatre should be restructured with all sophisticated equipments like Goan Festival City so that we can conduct Film festival with International facility." The actor added that the protest is not against government, but those who torpedoed the project. The protest will be organised by Trivandrum Film Fraternity.
