Tejabhai and Family bosses to cash in on Eid fest

Prithviraj"s latest movie Tejabhai and Family is one of the most-anticipated Malayalam movie of the year. The film has completed all its production works and is gearing up for a grand release in Kerala. In a bid to cash in on the Eid Festival, the movie bosses have planned to release it on August 26.

Producers in Kerala usually do not release films during Ramzan, as the state has a sizeable Muslim population. So the decision of Tejabhai and Family makers has reportedly surprised a few theatre owners. According to sources, some owners requested producers to postpone it release to August 31, but they did not hear their plea.

Tejabhai and Family is the only movie to be released on August 26. Producers Shantha Murali and Madhavan Nair of Murali Movies have planned to exploit a solo release and a four-day weekend. Trade experts are now keeping their fingers crossed as to know how the movie will do at collection centres.

However, Tejabhai and Family is romantic comedy, which features Prithviraj, Akhila Sanderson and Shakeela in the lead roles. Besides direction, Deepu Karunakaran has also written story and screenplay for the movie, which has Deepak Dev's music and Shamdath's cinematography.
