Kavalam Narayana Panicker to be awarded MG Radha Krishnan Award

Kavalam Narayana Panicker, noted theatre director and poet has been selected for this year's MG Radha Krishnan award. The honour has been instituted by MG Radha Krishnan foundation.

MG Radha Krishnan award includes a sum of Rs 25,000, citation and statuette designed by artiste Bhattathiri. In a grand function that is to be held on July 29, at AKG Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Minister KC Joseph will present the award to Kavalam Narayana Panicker.

It was music director Poovachal Khader (award committee chairman) who announced the award. Dr K Omanakutty, foundation secretary and playback singer Arudhadhi attended the press meet. Former minister Pandalam Sudhakaran will preside over the function.
