Mamta Mohandas ties the knot with Prajith Padmanabhan

Mamta Mohandas got married to her childhood friend Prajith Padmanabhan on December 28th, 2011. The simple marriage function was held at Kadavu Resort of Ravees Group in Kozhikode.

Mamta Mohandas tied the knot with childhood friend Prajith Padmanabhan on December 28th, 2011. Pragith is director of Al Thoufeeq company, WLL in Bahrain.

Mamta is daughter of NV Mohan Das, Senoir officer of Bank of America, Bahrain and Ganga, who hail from Thalasserry. Prajid is son of Padmanabhan and Geetha, who hail from Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam District.

Only close relatives and a few friends from the film industry were invited for the wedding. Hariharan, Syamaprasad, Sathyan Anthikad, PV Gangadharan, Samvritha Sunil, Vineeth and Unni Menon attended the wedding.

Mamta, who made her foray into films with Hariharan's film Mayookham, has acted in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies. She is a talented singer too and has previously sung in a Telugu film and even won the best female playback singer award in 2007.

Mamta Mohandas later sang the Tamil super hit song 'Daddy Mummy veettil Illai.' She also sang in Malayalam movie Anwar and that too was a hit. She won the best supporting actress state award in 2010 for Sathyan Anthikad movie Katha Thudarunnu. Mamta even bagged the best actress Film Fare award for the film.

Now it remains to be seen if Mamta Mohandas will continue acting after marriage....
