Mohanlal to be paid Rs 1 crore for cameo in Priyadarshan's Tezz?

Director Priyadarshan and producer Ratan Jain are at loggerheads over Mohanlal's remuneration in the movie Tezz. Priyadarshan has asked producer Ratan Jain to pay Rs 1 crore to Mohanlal for doing a cameo in Tezz.

Producer Ratan Jain is extremely miffed with Priyadarshan for asking him to pay a whooping Rs 1 crore to Mohanlal for a small role in Tezz. Ratan is of the opinion that the money is too much to pay for an actor who has not much market in Bollywood.

Speaking to a leading tabloid, Priyadarshan made clear that superstar Mohanlal does not come cheap. The director further added that getting paid less in Bollywood would spoil Mohanlal's market in Kerala.

Since Mohanlal is not very comfortable speaking in Hindi, Priyadarshan turned his character into a South Indian so that his Malayalam accent wouldn't be a problem.
