Resul Pookutty becomes a lawyer

Oscar award winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty and union defence minister Antony's wife Elizebeth were the centre of attraction during the enrolment session at the Kerala High court last Sunday morning. Resul along with Elizabeth took the oath as advocates.

A total of 406 candidates took the oath as Advocates. It was a fulfilment of Resul's father's dream as he longed his son to be an Advocate. Resul now wants to specialise in constitution law and public administration.

Resul Pookutty had chucked his studies mid-way at the Government Law College, Thiruvananthpuram more than 20 years ago. He could not appear for three papers of the final year due to his mother's ill health in 1991. Later, he had joined the Film and Television Institute (FTII), Pune against his parents' wishes.
