Sana Khan to play Silk Smitha in Profile

Inspired by the super success of Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture, director Anil will direct the Malayalam film Profile, based on the life of yesteryear sex siren Silk Smitha. Antony Eastman has penned the script of the film and model turned actress Sana Khan will essay the role of Silk Smitha in Profile.

It seems like everybody wants to make some money out of filming a biopic on late actress Silk Smitha. While a Kannada film with Veena Malik playing the role of the yesteryear siren is still underway, Antony Eastman, who was responsible for introducing Silk Smitha in the Malayalam film industry has penned the script for a Malayalam biopic of the actress.

Director Anil is of the opinion that Profile will be a more honest portrayal of Silk Smitha's life since Antony Eastman, who has written the script of the film knew Silk on a personal level.

Talking about Silk Smitha, Anil said that he had worked with her only in his film Sakshal Sreeman Chathunni, in which she had done a song sequence. The director added that Silk came across as a bold and outspoken person with absolutely no inhibitions about speaking her mind.

Meanwhile, there are talks about filming a movie based on Silk Smitha's biopic in Tamil and Telugu as well.
