Picture: Shweta Menon arrives with baby at State Film awards

Thiruvananthapuram: Shweta Menon came with her 40 days old daughter Sabaina on Monday to accept the state film awards for 2011 in a function held at Senate Hall in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. Chief minister Oommen Chandy gave away the awards. Minister Ganesh Kumar was also present at the function.

All eyes were struck on the cute little 'bundle of joy' that Shweta Menon was carrying on the day of the state film awards distribution function. The bundle in question was Swetha's 40 days old daughter Sabaina who accompanied her to the stage to receive the best actress award.

Dileep bagged the best actor award for his performance in Vellari Pravinte Changathy. Minister Ganesh Kumar, Priyadasan, jury chairman Bhagyaraj were present. None of them could take their eyes off the little girl. Shwetha received the award for her performance in Salt and Pepper.

Best director award was bagged by Blessy for the film Pranayam. Veteran comedian Jagathy was conferred with the best comedian award. Sree Kumaran Thampy received the award in the absence of Jagathy.

The popular film Salt & Pepper received the award for the best entertainment film. The award was presented to Ashiq Abu and producer R Sadanandan for the film.
