Kanaka Suffering From Cancer; In Her Last Days
Remember Kanaka? The beautiful, slim girl who was in news earlier as she had made a complaint against her father in 2010, claiming that her husband was kidnapped by him. To one's surprise, none could even recognise the actress then as she had changed completely. Now, she is back in news again.
According to sources, Kananka is suffering from cancer. She is currently in a paliative care, in Alappuzha. She was brought there only six months back from another hospital. It has been said that a large crowd is coming to see a glimpse of the actress. But Kanaka shows no interest and denies anyone from seeing her. So the hospital authorities are not allowing anyone to see or talk to her. Kanaka is said to be in the final stages of her life.
Kanaka has become more like a mystery now. She was born to Tamil actress Devaki and Devdas. She made her debut in 1989 with the movie Karakattakaran. She has acted in almost all the South Indian languages. In Malayalam, we remember her roles in Vietnam Colony, Kusruthikattu, Narasimham, Golandharavartha, etc.

Kanaka – The Actress
Kanaka was considered one of the leading actress in the Tamil film industry. She started acting at the tender age of 16. She starred with many major stars like Rajnikanth, Prabhu, Karthik, Vijayakanth, Sarath Kumar, etc.

Kanaka's Married Life
Kanaka married Muthukumar, who worked in California as a Mechanical Engineer, on April 2007. But Kanaka said that they stayed together only for 15 days. After that she had never seen her husband.
She still doesn't know where he is. She doubted somebody has kidnapped him and she suspected a person in the film industry, who threatened her. Later, she claimed that it is her father who had kidnapped her husband.
Godfather - Her First Malayalam Debut
The movie is still a superhit in Kerala. Kanaka played the role of Malu, who falls in love with Ramabhadran (Mukesh), just for the sake of making him a fool! But at last she falls for him.
Vietnam Colony
This was her first movie opposite Mohanlal. She played the role of a bubbly girl in the film, who deliberately troubles Swami Krishnamurthy (Mohanlal). She won lot of accolades for her performance in the film.
Kanaka With Mammootty
She has acted with Mammootty in Golandharavarthakal. Though Shobana was the heroine in the film, Kanaka too played a meaty role in the film.
With Jayaram
She has acted in two films opposite Jayaram namely Ezhara Ponnana and Kusruthikattu. They shared a good onscreen chemistry.
Narasimham
Narasimham was her last movie in Malayalam. She played sister to Mohanlal in the film. The movie was a blockbuster.
