Akanksha Puri Makes Her Mollywood Debut!

Akanksha Puri, the North Indian beauty, is all set to make her debut in Mollywood. She will be seen in the upcoming movie Praise The Lord. Mammootty plays the lead role in this movie directed by Shibu Gangadharan.

Mammootty and Reenu Mathews are pairing up once again after the success of their last movie Immanuel. Akanksha will be seen opposite Ahmed, who is very popular for his role in Salt N Pepper as KT Mirash, one of the biggest roles in his career so far through this film.

"Ahmed would be playing a very important role in the film and Akanksha's character, Annie, a Malayali girl born and brought up in Delhi and educated in JNU, is his pair. We found her through ad campaigns online and roped her in as she fits the bill of a Delhi-bred Keralite," says the director.

Akanksha is very much excited about her debut in Mollywood. She is excited as she is getting a chance to star alongside Mammootty, the pride of Mollywood! Excited Akanksha says, "I am thrilled to be part of a Malayalam film. Everyone calls me by my nickname Aashi, and it feels like a home away from home here."

Akanksha will be dubbing for her character in Praise the Lord. "When it comes to Malayalam films, the toughest part is to mug up dialogues. However, I am confident because if at all my diction goes wrong, it would suit me."
