Alisha Mohammed set to romance Mammootty in KKOM

Thiruvananthapuram: RJ-turned-actress Alisha Mohammed is all set to make her acting debut in Malayalam film industry. Not many girls in Mollywood would get a chance to romance Superstar Mammootty in their first film. But Alisha is one such fortunate girl, who has got that chance. She would play the female lead alongside Mammooka in his upcoming movie Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty, which marks her debut.

Alisha Mohammed is one of the popular RJs and she caught the attention of Mammootty at a couple of award functions, where she was the anchor. She got a chance to speak to this veteran actor at a show. Later, he referred her to Ranjith, the director of Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty, who briefed her about the movie in a five-minute conversation and confirmed her as the heroine without an audition for it.

Directed by Ranjith, Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty is a family drama, which features Mammootty as a Germany-based NRI. Alisha Mohammed will play his ex-flame in the film. She appears as a school teacher named Rosy in a rural area in Kerala. She is all excited to sport a village belle look in the movie.

Besides Mammootty, Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty features two other Mollywood superstars like Mohanlal and Dileep, who would play cameo roles in it. The elated Alisha Mohammed gushes, "I'm lucky to be part of a project which sees three of the biggest stars of Mollywood team up with a hitmaker director."
