Balu Varghese takes Lal's tips for Honey Bee
Thiruvananthapuram: Director-turned-actor Lal's nephew Balu Varghese, who has acted as a child artist in movies like Chanthupottu and Manikyakallu, is now turning independent hero in the upcoming Malayalam film Honey Bee, which is scheduled to release in theatres on June 7. The budding Mollywood actor says that his uncle has been his biggest inspiration and his tips came to his big help in making his debut film.
Directed by Lal's son Jean Paul Lal, Honey Bee deals with friendship and youngsters. Set against the backdrop of Fort Kochi, the movie revolves around a group of five, how they land up in trouble after getting inebriated and how they try to wriggle out of it. Although the film is about five friends from a dance troupe, there is no dance number, says Balu Varghese.
Talking to a leading English daily, Balu Varghese says that his uncle Lal had advised him to take his role seriously irrespective of whether it is big or small. The budding star gushes that his advice came to his great help in Honeybee. Talking about his role, he says that he is playing Ambrose, on-screen brother of Archana Kavi. He adds that youngsters can relate to his role.

Lal's son Jean Paul Lal is debuting Malayalam film industry as director with the movie Honey Bee. Besides direction, he has also written script for the movie.

Honey Bee is one of the medium budget Malayalam movies of 2013, which feature young actors in leads. Siby Thottupuram and Joby Mundamattom are producing the film under the banner of SJM Entertainment.

While Balu appears as Ambro in Honey Bee, other popular actors like Asif Ali, Bhavana, Baburaj, Sreenath Bhasi and Archana Kavi are playing the roles of his friends named Sebastian, Angel, Fernando, Abu, Sara, respectively.

The film unit of Honey Bee started its shooting from February 15 and they have completed its filming and other post-production works recently. A member from the team said that the film has come out very well and it is sure to rock the audience.
Response For Honey Bee Trailer
The trailer of Honey Bee, which is now going viral on the net, points a few scenes that resembles the Hollywood movie Hangover. Some film goers have also pointed that one of the songs from the movie is a rip-off of Bob Marley and Far East Movement's songs.
Honey Bee Release Date
