Dileep and Vedika in Sringara Velan

After the massive success of Mayamohini, the same team is back with a bang. They have teamed up for the film Sringara Velan in which Dileep will be playing the main lead, and Tamil-Telugu actress Vedhika will be seen as the female lead. Directed by Jose Thomas, Dileep plays the role of a weaver in the film.

Kannan (Dileep), the son of the weaver Ayyapan Ashan (Nedumudi Venu), inspite of the struggle the family is facing, he is sent to study fashion designing. But Kannan opt for some easy ways of making money and indulge himself into other activities. This finally leads him to many problems as all his ideas and plans becomes a failure. Ayyapan's and Kannan's ideas always proved mismatch, thus complicating the situation. Thus, a kind of uneasiness always prevails in the family. This is set as the plot of the film and the story develops.

Joy Mathew, Kalabhavan Shajon, Baburaj, Ambika Mohan, Sreedevi Unni, Chembil Ashokan and Babu Namboothiri are also seen in supporting roles. Screenplay is written by Udaykrishna-Sibi K Thomas team. Rafeeq Ahmed has penned the lyrics and Berny Ignatius has scored the music.

It is produced by Jaison Elankulam under the banner of RJ creations. The film has taken its initial shots in Kuthampulli, a place of weavers, in Thiruviluamala, Ottapalam.
