Mamta
Mohandas,
as
we
all
know,
is
one
of
the
most
talented
actresses
in
the
industry.
With
many
ups
and
downs
in
life,
the
actress
has
managed
to
lead
her
life
forward,
courageously.
Now
that
Mamta
is
celebrating
her
28th
birthday,
let's
have
a
quick
glance
through
her
life.
Mamta
was
born
to
a
well
off
family
hailing
from
Kannur.
She
was
brought
up
in
Bahrain,
where
she
did
her
schooling.
Later,
she
completed
her
degree
from
Bangalore.
She
started
off
her
career
as
a
model
and
later
on
made
her
debut
in
the
industry
with
the
movie
Mayookham.
Saiju
Kurup
played
her
opposite
in
this
movie.
She
played
the
role
of
a
cancer
patient
in
the
film.
Unfortunately,
she
was
attacked
by
the
same
disease
in
her
real
life
too.
But,
she
never
stepped
back.
She
got
treated
successfully
for
the
same.
Later,
she
started
acting
once
again
and
even
got
married.
Mamta
married
her
childhood
family
friend
Prajith
Padmanabhan
on
December
28,
2011
at
Kozhikode.
People
were
shocked
to
hear
that
on
December
12,
2012,
the
couple
had
applied
for
a
divorce.
In
April
2013,
she
had
a
relapse
of
the
cancer
and
underwent
treatment.
On
August
19,
2013,
Mamta
and
her
husband
got
officially
divorced.
Though
Mamta
is
not
that
active
in
films
in
a
recent
time,
we
hope
that
she
will
soon
be
back
to
entertain
us
with
her
movies
as
well
as
songs.
