Mani,
who

given
a
summons
by
the
customs
officers
for
carrying
undeclared
gold,
has
been
reportedly
said
to
be
fined
a
sum
of
Rs
7,000
by
the
officials.
The
customs
officers
caught
hold
of
a
bracelet
that
Mani
was
wearing
on
his
return
after
a
foreign
trip.
Kalabhavan
Mani
misbehaved
with
the
customs
officials
and
was
afraid
to
get
punished
by
them,
says
sources.
According
to
reports,
Mani
did
not
co-operate
with
the
officials
with
the
search
and
he
threw
away
the
chain
on
their
desk
and
walked
away
from
the
airport.
He
even
claimed
to
view
the
CCTV
footage
for
further
clarification.
Later,
the
officials
examined
the
CCTV
footage
on
November
28,
the
day
when
the
actor
went
abroad,
found
that
Mani
was
wearing
the
bangle
then
also.
So,
Kalabhavan
Mani
was
asked
to
pay
a
sum
of
Rs
5,000
as
redemption
fee
and
another
sum
of
Rs
2,000
as
penalty.

matter
was
adjudicated
by
Deputy
Commissioner
Saz
Navaz
and
the
bangle
was
given
back
to
Mani.
The
actor,
who
had
been
summoned
by
customs
officials
to
appear
for
questioning
on
Monday,
had
failed
to
get
an
export
certificate
from
customs
with
regard
to
the
bangle
when
he
went
to
Kuwait.
