After
much
controversies,
Blessy's
movie
Kalimannu
will
be
hitting
the
theaters
on
Thursday
(22
August).
The
movie
was
earlier
slated
for
an
August
23
release.
Blessy
says
that
his
movie
is
a
tribute
to
motherhood,
the
wonderful
experience
a
mother
can
have.
Kalimannu
highlights
the
relationship
between
an
expecting
mother
and
her
unborn
baby.
It
has
been
scientifically
proved
that
unborn
babies
can
feel
the
outside
world
from
the
fifth
month
of
pregnancy.
Blessy
takes
this
film
to
honour
women
and
to
show
his
protest
against
the
brutality
women
are
facing
these
days.
Kalimannu
shows
the
emotional
bondage
of
the
unborn
baby
and
the
expecting
mother.
The
movie
portrays
the
eventful
life
of
Meera
(Shweta
Menon),
a
club
dancer
who
aspires
to
be
an
actress.
The
film
unravels
the
drama
in
her
life
as
she
becomes
an
item
dancer,
actress
and
an
expecting
mother.
Lots
of
controversies
continued
after
the
item
number
of
Shweta
Menon
hit
YouTube.
She
performed
the
dance
five
months
after
her
delivery.
But
the
director
clarified
it
saying
that
the
dances
was
an
unomittable
factor
in
the
narration
of
the
story.
Blessy
said
that
he
had
so
much
of
pressure
in
completing
the
film
and
it
took
him
two
years
to
wrap
up
the
movie.
He
wanted
naturality
in
the
film
and
so
waited
for
Shweta's
delivery
to
happen.
He
was
disturbed
with
the
thought
of
C-Section.
But
all
went
well
for
him
and
now
the
movie
is
ready
for
its
release.
Hope
and
pray
that
Blessy
and
his
team
get
the
fruit
of
their
hardwork.
