Kavya Madhavan says no to play a prostitute

Kavya Madhavan is one of the most talented actresses in Malayalam film industry. In her acting career spanning 22 years, she has played all kinds of roles right from child artist to a mother, a glamourous girl to tomboyish. But she has not essayed one character and that is of a prostitute. It is not that such role has not been offered to her in the past, but the actress says that she would never like to reprise such role in her life time.

In an interview with leading Malayalam magazine, Kavya Madhavan spilled the beans on not playing the role of sex worker. The actress says that she will not take up the role of a woman, who sells her body to make a living even if it is a tempting offer. Many filmmakers have approached her with an offer of the prostitute's role, but she has politely turned them down even if some of them were decent.

Kavya Madhavan, who has acted 70 movies so far, has always made sure that her individuality is her first priority and then comes the character that she plays in a movie. She says that she will not accept a role that does not suit her personality. She adds that she has rejected several offers in the past due to this problem.
