It's Keerthi Menaka in Geetanjali

Priyadarshan directed movie Geetanjali had made headlines regarding its cast. The film Manichitrathazhu had the character Dr Sunny (played by Mohanlal), who is once again appearing in this movie with the same role. Actress Menaka Suresh's daughter Keerthi Menaka is the heroine in the film.

It was earlier reported that Shobana was also a part of the film. But later rumours were out saying she is out from Geetanjali. She was to do a cameo role in the film and that might be a reason for her name not to be present in the list. Also, reports confirm the presence of Mamta Mohandas in the film. She will play the role of Geetha, while Keerthi will play Anjali.

Mohanlal is currently busy with the shooting of his films Jilla (Tamil) and Mythri (Kannada). Reports say that he will be joining the sets of Geetanjali very soon.

Priyadarsan and Dennis Joseph are jointly writing the script for Geetanjali. It will have its music scored by Vidyasagar. Innocent, Madhu, Siddique and Ganesh are the other cast seen in the film.
