Mammootty, Mohanlal Rejected Me, Says Suhasini Mani Ratnam

Suhasini Mani Ratnam is one of the best actresses that Mollywood has ever witnessed so far. She has acted opposite almost all the leading stars of her time. After her marriage with Mani Ratnam, the actress just vanished and was hardly seen in Malayalam films later on. Now the actress says that Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal rejected to act opposite her after her marriage.

In an interview given to a leading daily, Suhasini said that she had a good relation with Mammootty when she was a star in the industry. Mammootty did not want Suhasini to get married to a Tamilian. Adding on, she said that Mammootty even searched a Mallu groom for her. She was in good terms with Mohanlal too. But both of them rejected offers to act opposite Suhasini after her wedding.

"Mohanlal and Mammootty preferred young actresses to me. But Vishnuvardhan, who was a superstar in both Kannada and Telugu was not like them. We shared a good onscreen chemistry and people liked it very much," said the actress.

When asked about new generation films, Suhasini said that she likes changes and so she like new generation movies too. She had watched 22 Female Kottayam and Annayum Rasoolum among the latest Malayalam movies.

Suhasini also commented that the tendency of the industry of bringing actresses from Mumbai and Delhi should be stopped. Movies will become better only if the star knows the language in which they act.

Suhasini plays a key role in the upcoming Blessy's movie Kalimannu. She says that there is nothing controversial in the movie and all the chaos are just being created to defame the film.
