Mamta Mohandas Officially Divorced!

Actress Mamta Mohandas and her husband Prajith Padmanabhan got officially divorced. Both of them appeared before the family court yesterday for further fomalities and documentation.

Mamta Mohandas and Prajith Padmanabhan were childhood friends. Prajith was a Bahrain based businessman. They got engaged on Noveber 11, 2011. They entered wedlock in the same year on December 28 at Calicut. Their enagement muhurat was 11-11-11. Surprisingly, Mamta announced her decision for divorce on 12-12-12, one year after their engagement.

Mamta Mohandas made her debut in Mollywood with the movie Mayookham opposite Saiju Kurup, in 2005. The film was directed by Hariharan. The movie did not do well at the Box Office, but she walked away with top honours in the film and after that there was no looking back for her.

Mamta has also proved herself as a singer. She has lent her voice in movies like Anwar, Arike, Thriller, etc,. She was nominated for the Best Singer for her song in Arike at the 60th Idea Filmfare Awards.

Mamta was attacked with a chronic disease even before her marriage. But the actress came to know about the same only after her wedding. She only told the media about her disease by tweeting it. But, Mamta overcomed all her illness and was back to the industry more vigorously. She holds a successful acting career and has acted opposite almost all the profound actors in the industry. Musafir opposite Rahman was her last release in Malayalam.
