Mohanlal Completes 35 Years Of Acting Career!

Malayalam Industry is blessed with Mohanlal, who is a complete actor. The actor has taken the industry to great heights that one cannot even imagine. He is one such actor who is beyond all boundaries. Lieutenant Colonel Padmashree Bharath Mohanlal is completing his 35 years of acting career tomorrow (September 4).

Mohanlal was born in Elanthoor, Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, to Vishwanathan Nair, a lawyer and a government employee and Santhakumari on 21st May, 1960. The family later shifted to Mudavanmugal in Thiruvananthapuram, which was his maternal house. Mohanlal married Suchitra, daughter of Tamil film producer K Balaji. Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya are his two children.

Mohanlal had fascination towards acting right from his childhood in 1972, when he was chosen as the Best Actor of the school while he was in the sixth grade competing with the 10th graders. From there started his career in acting winning so many awards for Best Actors.

Mohanlal made his entry into movies when his friends opened up a film company called Bharath CineGroup and made the film Thiranottam, in which Mohanlal was given a comic role to enact. Unfortunately, due to certain reasons, this film was released only in one theatre. But that did not end up his thirst for acting. Later, he was selected by Navodaya Appachen for the role of the antagonist in Manjil Virinja Pookkal which became a major hit. This marked his journey in the industry.

Mohanlal did not turn back after this. He was loaded with roles, as a hero, villian, supporting role - he was ready to do any character to bring out his talent. 1980s and 90s marked the journey of the actor to reach his stardom. Presently, Mohanlal is the most prominent actor in the industry. He is regarded as the biggest crowd pulling Malayali celebrity and was chosen by CNN-IBN as the most popular Keralite ever in an online survey conducted in 2008.
