inaugural
Indian
Movie
Awards
in
Qatar
(IMAQ
2013)
at
a
function
in
Qatar's
capital,
Doha
on
Friday
(May
10).
Along
with
him,
a
few
other
Malayalam
actors
received
awards
at
the
grand
gala
event,
reportes

the
media
partner
of
the
event.
Actors
like
Prathap
K
Pothan,
Biju
Menon,
Salim
Kumar,
TG
Ravindranathan,
music
director
M
Jayachandran,
upcoming
talents
Fahad
Fazil,
Rima
Kallingal,
Isha
Talwar,
Aju
Varghese,
Sekhar
Menon,
directors
Lal
Jose,
Aashiq
Abu,
Anwar
Rashid
and
Vineeth
Sreenivasan,
singers
Vijay
Yesudas

were

who
got
awards
at
the
function
of
IMAQ
2013.
It
is
said
that
a
large
portion
of
the
around
400,000-strong
expatriate
Indians
in
Qatar
comprises
Malayalis.
The
event
also
saw
the
launch
of
a
music
academy,
Music
Lounge,
of
acclaimed
Indian
pianist
Stephen
Devassy
and
the
launch
of
a
Malayalam
evening
daily,
"At
4
pm".
The
highlight
of
the
event
was
the
performance
by
Devassy
and
his
band,
Solid.
Also
there
were
cinematic
and
folk
dances,
comedy
skits
and
performances
by
prominent
singers.
A
joint
performance
by
Devassy
and
acclaimed
Indian
percussionist
Sivamani
enthralled
the
crowd.
The
event
was
