inaugurated
the
100
years
of
Indian
Cinema
on
Saturday
at
Chennai.
All
four
South
Indian
industries
were
geared
up
to
honour
their
stars,
who
contributed
to
the
growth
of
the
industry.
Tamil,
Telugu
and
Kannada
industries
honoured
their
stars.
Today
the
Mollywood
stars
are
being
honoured
at
the
great
ceremony.
According
to
reports,
senior
stars
like
Madhu,
KPAC
Lalitha
and
Kunjan
had
already
reached
Chennai
for
participating
in
the
ceremony.
The
Malayalam
industry
is
said
to
have
prepared
with
a
four
hour
long
cultural
programme
to
entertain
the
audience
as
well
as
to
mark
their
gratitude
towards
their
senior
stars.
The
function
will
honour
56
artists
from
the
Malayalam
industry.
MT
Vasudevan
Nair,
Madhu,
Adoor
Gopalakrishnan,
Merryland
Studio
and
Udaya
Studio
will
be
honoured
in
the
honourable
presence
of
our
President
of
India.
It
has
been
said
that
the
very
old
patronages
of
the
industry
to
the
very
recent
stars
will
make
their
presence
in
the
function.
Actor
Madhu
commented
that
he
is
very
much
blessed
to
be
a
part
of
such
an
auspicious
moment
as
far
as
the
industry
is
considered.
All
the
performers
had
reached
the
venue
by
yesterday
night.
The
legends
who
led
the
Malayalam
industry
including
22
producers-distributors,
seven
theatre
owners,
12
FEFKO
members
and
10
members
from
AMMA
will
be
awarded
special
momentos
in
the
function.
The
main
highlight
of
the
cultural
programme
will
be
the
'chenda
melam'
by
actor
Jayaram
and
dance
performance
by
Shobana
which
will
mark
the
end
of
the
celebration.
