Photos: Malayalam stars receive National Film Awards

New Delhi: It is has already been reported that Mollywood has bagged 11 out of 16 awards at the 60th National Film Awards, which were announced in New Delhi on March 18. President Pranab Mukherjee gave away the awards to winners of these awards at a function at Vijyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday (May 3, 2013).

Director Kamal walked away with the Best Malayalam Film award for his critically acclaimed and commercially successful Malayalam movie Celluloid, while director Ranjith bagged the award for Best Film on Social Issues for his movie Spirit. Anjali Menon has got the Best Dialogues award for the film Usthad Hotel, while Minon received the Best Child Artist Award for his performance in the film 101 Chodyangal.

Other popular artists like Thilakan, Lal and Kalpana received the Special Jury Awards for their performances in different movies. Kambrath won the Best Film on Social Issues in the Non-Feature section for his movie Behind the Mist. PS Radha Krishnan, who is the director and associate professor at the School of Literature at the Mahatma Gandhi University, based in Kottayam, has bagged the Best Film Critic award.
