Thiruvananthapuram:
Two
years
after
his
last
release
Bhakthajanangalude
Sradhakku,
Malayalam
director
Priyanandanan
is
all
set
to
make
his
grand
comeback.
His
next
directorial
venture
has
been
titled
The
Voter,
which
features
Salim
Kumar
in
the
lead
role.
The
director
is
going
to
deal
with
a
very
unusual
subject
in
the
film,
which
conveys
an
important
message
about
the
power
of
a
voter.
It
is
currently
in
the
pre-production
stage
and
it
starts
rolling
from
the
end
of
July.
Suresh
Kumar,
who
is
producing
The
Voter
under
the
banner
of
Malavika
Productions,
says
that
the
movie
is
the
story
of
election
conducted
in
an
island
called
Thanthonnithuruthu.
The
film
revolves
around
a
guy
named
Gopi,
who
is
the
only
voter
in
this
island.
It
focuses
on
the
proceeding
connected
with
Election
Day.
This
small
island
lacks
the
basic
facilities,
including
water
and
electricity.
A
single
voter
can
change
the
country
is
the
basic
premise
of
The
Voter.
Sathyan
Kolangad
has
written
the
story
and
screenplay
for
the
film.
Salim
Kumar,
who
had
earlier
shouldered
Adaminte
Makan
Abu
to
international
fame,
is
playing
the
lead
role
in
it.
The
producer
says
that
the
movie
also
has
ample
scope
to
reach
the
international
level,
and
the
viewers
would
see
yet
another
real
time
acting
experience
of
Salim
in
it.
